Zora continues to give up ground in the market it's best positioned to compete in. It's likely they sold investors on being the next IG. Instead of playing nice with other platforms, they're creating a walled garden. Poor form and poor strategy for w3. But no more complaining; it's an opportunity to seize ๐๏ธ

Because their tokens no longer have metadata attributes, like every other publishing tool, their tokens are no longer useful on alternate front-ends. Removing a core function of smart contracts is insane.

Hmmmmm I've never put metadata into the UI when given opportunity to Was it removed from UI? Or removed from contracts fully?

Put me in the power user category if you must - most of the artists I know prefer other options or never made it to Zora at all. Metadata is one reason why - it's how an onchain portfolio acheives a semblance of organization. They removed it from the UI, not sure about contracts.
