Hmmmm, I agree, but if the LG character were to bring harm to you they would instantly change alignment. So, so long as you aren't evil you should have no fear. In fact you would be assured they would do you no harm. 

The CN character has no such honor bound system and can go either way, so is way more unpredictable.
