Also, having a larger board game crew also makes it easier to form tables. 4 player seems to be the norm, but we have a handful that work well at 3 or 5, so it gives us some flexibility on what gets out on the table.

Games are two different hobbies for me: Solo is about the game. Social is about the people. The same game product feels like two very different experiences depending on that context. I would never make my friends wait through the analysis paralysis I indulge in alone. 😁
