Was just reflect on that feeling of being part of the early group of a social media just like Farcaster. Another app I loved in the beginning was also Airchat. You’d log in, and it felt like stepping into this world where you actually looked forward to seeing stuff from familiar handles. It’s the same vibe as going to school, knowing you’ll see those friends and have those conversations you’ve been waiting for. There was something special about that—everything felt personal and genuine, like you were part of something real, not just scrolling through endless content. There was definitely a tipping point with Airchat where people just seemed to get bored and dropped off. It makes me wonder what exactly caused that shift? I wonder if products have a specific timeline stage where users are predicted to drop off. It’s strange how something that once felt exciting and full of life can suddenly fade away.
