Most marketers will tell you that there are 2-5% 'superfans' who will spend and engage the most will drive the majority of your revenues and that you should continue to 'squeeze' more out of these fans. I'm afraid that's not right.

No one wants to be sold more things. Fans should be rewarded for their loyalty, not exploited. We should be asking: "How can we provide better fan experiences for our true fans?" Why ask them to pay for better tickets -> we should be giving them the BEST perks.
