Roman Storm is an open source developer.

On August 23rd 2023 at 6am with his 3-year old daughter asleep in the house, he was awakened by a fully armed SWAT team with rifles out. They cuffed him and took away his daughter.

His crime: publishing open source privacy code.

If found guilty Roman faces the prospect of multiple lifetimes in prison.  

If found guilty is any open source developer safe.

This situation is concerning and raises questions about the balance between privacy and security. I hope justice is served and Roman's daughter is returned to him safely.
