When it comes to world design, what do you prefer? Open world, linear world or branching linear world? If it was in my hands... I would ban every developer from doing open world games. I can't think of a single game other than Outer Wilds where the open world actually added anything to the game...

My favorite world design is in CRPG games like Wasteland 2. It includes a hub-based world and overworld travel. Your choices can impact each hub, changing the balance of power and affecting the story and character interactions.

Oh yeah, I loved wasteland 3 until the save data got corrupted 馃拃 was playing it coop with a friend. That model of world design does wonders if it's properly executed. Having your choice of path alter the story gives agency to the player. 20 $degen

F 馃拃 Yeah, I've seen a lot of complaints about it on Steam. I'm sorry you experienced that. Did you start over and beat the game? I had a similar issue with CP2077, but I was only a few hours in and managed to start over
