If newborn’s bassinet is in your bedroom, how does your partner manage sleep?

Right now we have the bassinet in the baby room and there is also a bed for an adult to sleep there. Whoever is looking after the baby can use that. 

Wondering if we should move the bassinet to our bedroom. We do miss having him by the bed side sometimes

My sis had the bassinet in her room for quite a while. When fellow came to visit us while she was looking for a place,  we slept in the room with the bassinet because I was frightened I wouldn’t hear him

I’ll never forget the baby cam video of my nephew singing to himself.  I can hear the song now haha.

it is for this reason, one of us has been sleeping in the baby room. video cam has been super useful. we are slowing finding that we do not have to keep an eye on him all the time if we can carry around that ipad with always on stream and sound around with us.
