have you identified anything that is helpful in building a sense of community in these channels? any blockers? what’s been good and bad about the experience?

In February, I started co-hosting /itookaphoto with @inceptionally who created the channel. A lot of new people were coming onto FC/WC and I knew/followed a bunch of them from X/Insta. I would DM them and invite them to cast in ITAP. This was the first step in building a community of great artists. I've spent the past few days inviting artist I admire to cast in /nature, I have a lot more to go. But this is how you get quality casters who do great work. #1 is invite people to join you as you build a community. #2 is getting to know people in your channel by having conversations about their work or something they cast about. Go deeper. #3 Create positive vibes. Be nice, compliment people's work/ideas. Share their work by re-casting or pinning.

#4 Tip/support people who show regularly and are quality casters. This isn't as subjective as we think. If you run a few channels, you know what a quality cast looks like. #4a @inceptionally has done an amazing job with /rounds in ITAP. He's spreading lots of rewards to casters and invites curators from the community to help select the best work. He should answer your questions too, so I hope he's reading this. Blockers: Time, and resources for tipping. IMO channels should have tipping token allocations based on scale.

Wisdom in these casts. JC is a true community builder and a thoughtful Farcastrian. He and @eriks hold weekly Taverns are not to be missed. Time is definitely a challenge. I may need to recruit and intern or two soon, like @burrrrrberry has done.
