could have probably just migrated to Base

Or they could have just fronted all transactions on Mainnet?

The cost of creating launching your L2 with a SAAS provider + up keep + monthly billing will most likely cost them more than just fronting all users new transactions.

They could have also lunched everything on Base, and then do a daily tx on Mainnet to finalize everything (like how most L2's work, but without needing to create one lol)
