A repairman came to fix the washing machine, which frightened my cat terribly. Even after he left, the cat refused to come out from under the bed. When I tried to hold and comfort her, she would immediately dart off to another hiding spot if I looked away for a second. Thankfully, after half a day, she returned to her usual self. I have to admit, cats really are quite skittish.
