I’ve heard it said that it’s best to sort out your emotions before starting a task. However, I believe that during moments of intense negative emotions, it can be more effective to stay calm and push forward with the work at hand. By doing so, the psychological pressure tends to decrease, which actually helps improve my mood faster.

A repairman came to fix the washing machine, which frightened my cat terribly. Even after he left, the cat refused to come out from under the bed. When I tried to hold and comfort her, she would immediately dart off to another hiding spot if I looked away for a second. Thankfully, after half a day, she returned to her usual self. I have to admit, cats really are quite skittish.

She becomes remarkably well-behaved when wearing her headgear, and doesn't dart around the house in a frenzy as often. However, upon closer reflection, this behavior is likely due to her spirits not being quite right rather than genuine obedience. Although, it's rather nice to have her calm and quiet for a change.

While working, my cat always silently jumps onto the edge of the desk and just stares at me quietly, as if competing to see who will give in first, me to pet it or it to jump off the table and leave.
