Ohhh, good question. Not an artist manager myself but would be good to hear the answers. Can anyone help? 50 $DEGEN

- think like an a&r - look for ones with huge potential before anyone else finds them. Once they’re trending in any way they’re fielding 10 other requests. - build trust, get them a quick win somehow (support slot, playlist selection, collab) I like to try and do this before I even talk about managing. - go to them - sounds weird but if they show any interest get on a plane/train and go visit them, get to know them as people. - be in the trenches with them. Early management is about making things happen out of nowhere (compared to big time management which is more like handling hundreds of different calls and requests). Your edge in the early stages is hustling like crazy to make stuff happen for them.

there is always that one artist that you undeniably want on the roster, pursue that one relentlessly and everything else can fall into place
