when you create a resume... how much do you buff it up? i have a (really) bad tendency to undermine everything and don't know what to put for skills

I'd say it's not about buffing it up, but trying to give it that 'proud dad' vibe. Reading it out loud helps a ton on finding the sentiment you're looking for - at least for me.

also - something that works for me is thinking "what would X think about when reading this?" X is people I admire or that have similar jobs/qualifications.
