🗞️ On June 20, 2024, Arbitrum Rollup’s daily net profit surged to $3.29 million, driven by increased fees due to LayerZero (ZRO) claims. The profit spike, thousands of percent higher than June 19, was recorded on Dune Analytics.
The last revenue jump was in December 2023, caused by a network activity surge, leading to a failure in Arbitrum One. The June 20 profit increase resulted from higher fees, averaging $0.89 compared to the previous $0.1. LayerZero Foundation set the ZRO token claim fee at $0.1, payable in USDT, USDC, or Ethereum across various networks, including Arbitrum.
This fee increase sparked debates on PolyMarket since the distribution wasn’t positioned as an airdrop. Notably, fees in Layer 2 solutions have generally decreased following Ethereum’s Dencun update. 😉 0 reply
