Gm Someone once told me that my photography reminded them of a memory they’d forgotten. Have you ever seen something that brought back a moment you thought was lost?

Not images but smells. The first time travelled to Brazil was riding in a van through Rio de Janeiro and there was this strong burning smell that brought me back to the days when lived in the middle east. It left me speechless.

I’ve never experienced anything like that because I’ve never had a sense of smell. It’s not something I miss since I’ve never known it, but it’s something I can’t picture in my mind.

Wow. Does this also mean you have no ability to taste things?

It’s something much weirder. I can always taste things, but I can’t identify the flavors. If you gave me a candy with my eyes closed, I wouldn’t be able to tell you what flavor it is. I’d just know it tastes like something, but I couldn’t say what. I think the way I experience flavors is completely different from how most people do. But since I don’t know what things are supposed to taste like, I can’t really compare.
