#ChristmasRound "Life begins and ends with a single breath." The lungs are the main organs of respiration. This is where we receive individual life, so we can say that the lungs have a direct relationship with life, with the desire to live. Also with death since it is always lived in respiratory terms: "I breathe my last breath" They symbolize the vital breath, contact, freedom, exchange, communication, sadness and sorrows of the past. Breathing is living as we understand it. It’s the proof of being alive. Since the day we’re born to the last departure what remains constant in our lives is this moving air. It’s the evidence of our existence. It’s our eternal companion throughout the journey on this wonderful planet. With each breath we inhale, we take in a chance, hope that keep us alive, while exhaling, we can throw out the negativity, grudge, pain and affliction. Taking in air and throwing it out is not only a process that’s what living is!

That's how the idea came about. I just had to implement it. I was experimenting with AI at the time. And I thought I could implement my idea with AI assistance and then touch up everything that didn't work for me with Photoshop. I spent weeks experimenting until I got what I really wanted: it should look like sculptures and, at the same time, give the feeling of being fluffy. I wanted nature to be represented in the pieces of the collection as well, so I decided to add flowers. My goal for the collection was to create a ghastly vibe yet a picturesque and calming atmosphere. To achieve this, I used red roses to symbolize the organs and essential elements of the pieces, while the remaining structures were represented by complementary white petals. The whole collection are 8 pieces: The eye, the heart, the lungs, the ribs, the brain, the neurons, the spine,... and last but not least, the ethereal soul because after all, we'll rise from the ashes like a phoenix bird.

Reminds me of a similar concept that @isakost made, albeit in her signature illustration style. It's a very pleasing concept to work with a very relatable as we all have these even though have the impression that some people don't pay enough attention and care to them until something goes wrong. Maybe projects like these are helpful to bring people into this awareness.
