Traveler FC’s Would you stay in hostels in the US if: 1) the cost was reasonable (much less than ABNB or hotel) 2) there was more supply in large cities + destinations 3) the experience was similar to great European/Asian/South American hostels?

The hostels I’ve used in the states were accidentally through Airbnb. Didn’t realize until I showed up haha. But from my experience the ones in Europe and Asia I’ve visited were cheaper and nicer. Love the hostel life especially as a solo traveler, miss it!

Totally! I think it’s a unique business opportunity in the US for domestic travelers & also international. I think if done right my gen (gen z) and millennials would eat it up. I met so many in Europe who said the reason they haven’t traveled more in US is no hostels!
