ITAP ten years ago of this Honu on Maui… usually, I prefer the wet Honu, fresh from the ocean, taking a nap on the beach. This guy had been there since 7 a.m. and when the setting sun slipped beneath the cloud layer, and bathed him in a little light, he finally started moving... further up the beach, away from the water.
In this case, I really liked the contrast of colors between him, the rocky cliff behind him, the sand, and the driftwood.
