Had a very sobering conversation with my kids tonight about the state of U.S. politics. It’s unsettling to think this is the world they’ve grown up in - where division, anger, and uncertainty seem to dominate the headlines. I tried to stress importance of staying informed, being kind, and working toward positive change, no matter how challenging it feels. But man, does it feel challenging! Has anyone else had similar conversations with their pre-teen/ teenagers? Any tips or talking points?

Trying, man. The Nazi salute, the pardons of convicted criminals, stories of ICE showing up to schools to detain kids and their parents, etc. It’s crazy. Without any prompting, my son asked if I thought this is what it was like for regular Germans when Hitler and the nazis took over their country. The parallels are scary.
