Chatting with an Army buddy about embracing challenge-seeking behavior in our daily life My buddy said he realized that “People without a growth mentality seem almost maliciously lazy” when you live that way Not a value judgment (we all have different struggles), but this sums up a lot of my unconscious thinking

"I'm fat and unhappy about it" -> does not change diet, exercise more, or adjust lifestyle bc it's uncomfortable "I hate my job" -> incredibly competent + qualified yet doesn't apply to new jobs bc it's unknown "I wish I could do X" -> makes no effort to start doing that thing bc it's hard and other similar flavors
