A. Small raise (<$1m), lean 1-3 person team. Focus on revenue & fundamentals from day 0, no sexy stuff. Do services if it helps bring revenue & learnings B. Big raise (>$7m), sell the story. Use raise hype to hire top people (10-20). Use money to build differentiated tech & gain mkt share fast Which do you chose?

IMO both are valid approaches - depends on the funding requirement of the business + type of investors + founders preference A can leads to great businesses that may not be very big. B could lead to big home runs but with lower prob of success. Both need to solve real problems + focus + have (path to) fundamentals!

false dichotomy I would choose small experienced team obsessed with customer value and fundamentals. Understand and work on distribution from day 1. Ship constantly: 10,000 iterations. Raise a big round if you can, but discipline not to waste it. Be on a mission that seems like a bad idea but is actually a good idea
