I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future due to the current issue with large number of bots.

Recent posts over the past few months have received hundreds of likes and recasts coming mostly from bots.

Advancements in the field of AI means that every social app is now plagued with bots. One of the problems I constantly think about is how to eliminate bots on social app. Every hack by apps have not been futile. I don't use Facebook much, I wonder if it's the same over there.

There is no elimination, only co-existence. 

I think in time, we'd see solutions that work more efficiently to filter interactions to only humans but it's not a problem platforms are strongly incentivised to solve for at the root level.
