A recent discussion in this channel reminded me of my all-time favorite book ‘The Silmarillion’ by Tolkien. It had such an impact on me that I even named my daughter Éowyn!

This is an amazing book, I don't know to what extent the translated version is censored. 🥲

For me it was the Dune series. It started me down a path of becoming interested in philosophy, politics, history, and how all three interweave. And who can forget the litany against fear? It's something that I will even recite to myself when I'm feeling nervous. Frank Herbert was a literary genius on par with Tolkien, imo :)
