Very interesting turn of events in the Adams case. The judge appointed Paul Clement (got Chevron overturned, on the Coinbase board), to provide a friend of the court opinion on how he should proceed with the government's request for dismissal, given all the unusual circumstances around it, and the fact that the govt wanted the dismissal to be "without prejudice" - meaning the govt could bring the same charges again at any time. Clement argues that the court should still dismiss, but *with prejudice*, given the implications of maintaining the ability to bring charges at any time and how they could have the appearance or real effect of impacting his decisions while in public office (aka a sort of blackmail/leverage). I was of the opinion a special prosecutor might be justified, but that didn't get upheld in Flynn's case (w/ similar circumstances), and the courts have limited power in rejecting a dismissal request.

I'm honestly surprised this case has lasted so long.
