Dude I know, I tried figuring this out recently and got really frustrated. I could of sworn when these boxes first came out that they just sent us degen directly, no minting or other nonsense required

Mostly, but couldn't figure out how to use my winnings to get a new gate or what not. "Degen into" action is confusing.

Yeah agreed. I don’t know what the exact threshold is, but if your prize is below a certain amount (seems like ~150 degen) you can deposit it into any gate that has been opened already for just the gas fee. But if you get one of the bigger prizes which need to be used to open a gate then you have to find a caster who’s gate hasn’t been opened yet and use the Degen Into action to mint the gate key. Which is pretty expensive unless the account is quite small, so your prize is used to discount the mint fee and you pay the difference Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― It’s not very straightforward and as @jenson mentioned, minting a gate key isn’t the same free ROI that a deposit into an existing gate should provide
