definitely a bit annoyed by how long it takes for the zora mint pages to properly show the image and comment/activity after minting starts

unpredictable in general, sometimes immediately but most of the times takes a few hours

Agreed, also annoying that animated NFT's don't play when posted on warpcast.  Not sure if that is a Zora problem or a Warpcast problem?  Same issue exists with posted manifold nfts so probably warpcast.
