Just realised I get a tonne of replies on casts that I never see. As they're not priority notifications. Sort of thing that makes me want to give up on Farcaster. Is there a good explanation for hiding these replies?

Did you turn off priority mode in settings -> notifications?

Nope. And adjusting that setting to be off I see a tonne of individual likes. I just want to see replies. The rest can be grouped like on Twitter. Feel like they’ve overengineered when the solution is so simple. 5000 other social apps out there. Just copy Twitter and be done with it.
