Does anyone do any repeated tasks where you take a set of (semi) structured PDFs and populate excel spreadsheets?

We have an ai message q we  could incorporate such a tool into. Thinking of OSing it. Is it publicly available? Scanning historical docs is something we do use. Mostly chatgpt for now but if something better…

My buddy has spent a few years developing some custom tech that merges AI pattern recognition and optical character recognition (OCR) to scan historical documents. 

We think it would probably be better than Claude, but certainly a tool to check out as well!
