more truly grounded, spiritual, and scrappy optimism is needed in every field people are succumbing to doomerism. 'the apocalypse is inevitable' seems to be the status quo even growth oriented tech orgs are operating mostly from a nihlistic resource accumulation position love can still transform, imo

it's not about pretending everything is going to be okay either, it's taking the necessary and courageous steps in the direction of a future you want to be part of being outrageous, fearless, and wrathful to cut through the illusions of 'too far gone' things can change and hard problems are worth working on
