I think about how the premise of "Money Ball", "Innovator's dilemma", or smaller clubs recruiting players going against big clubs and many David vs Goliath stories comes down to something simple like this:

"We have a lot less money / resources / time than everyone else, so if we try to do the same as everybody else with less money we are going to fail."

Been thinking over and over lately how constraints drive innovation. Going back to /mirror-loom  thesis, all context windows (or vector stores) have limits, the way out is finding causal compressions. Causal compressions free resources to expand windows, repeat.

Moderate-to-severe symptoms.

Why do VCs want you to show you can solve one specific problem before funding? Because it shows you can find and create causal compressions, and therefore will be able to expand context windows and find even more.
