I encountered the idea in Sloterdijk’s first book. He paints a picture of Berlin’s attempt to escape the spiral of nihilism, and the various expressions of unwitting double downs on nihilism in the guise of escape vectors. Particularly apt given yesterday’s display of ressentiment fueled will to power.

Very interesting. Tr**p 2.0 has struck me as pure tribal nihilism, no actual policies seem to matter, only lashing out at “ the other.” Will check it out.
