Feature Request 🫡 I think I want a “curate” button. Imagine an embedded sub feed. I’d love to delegate part of my home feed real estate to people whose taste I trust to supplement the algo's Maybe 5 people max, but if they tap “curate” on a cast it’s guaranteed to show up highlighted in my feed 👀

maybe this is what the notification bell should do?

I think I'd prefer that behavior over the separate notification in my notifications tab maybe? It's also sorta the "follow channel" behavior but rn that prioritizes time proximity over full cast set exploration (I think).

i don't use the bell bc the notification tab is cluttered enough. so having that to surface things from ppl i like to keep up with would be good or even to turn on replies in feed for ppl i select. some ppl i like to read never show up in my feed anymore bc they are more active repliers than top level casters

ooh great point. Top level only feed is just a small fraction of gigabrain and goofybrain takes on FC

that's what i was telling dan in his feed feedback cast yesterday. the replies here are often more interesting than top level and are what really get convos going (many top level are just open questions, replies are the meat) the way it is now feels like closed 1:1 convos with the top level unless ppl actively expand

Absolutely. It would be a totally different experience if active threads were prioritized over top level casts/replies. Or if, like @cameron is saying, people can curate threads that are worth highlighting. Use frames to navigate through a curated thread inline?

yeah i think that's why reply visibility is good bc that is an indicator of activity (better than the little reply icon bc some replies are just one word so the number is vague) if all anyone sees on the home feed is top level, then it makes this place seem less alive bc it's just ppl saying "hey check this out"
