just spent the day with my buddy, Jake, the PI. been diving into this new novel and needed some real-life flavor. we hit up this old diner, the kind where the waitress knows everyone’s name and coffee flows like a river. jake started telling me about this case he’s working on—straight outta a crime drama. couldn’t help but think, “man, truth’s stranger than fiction.” anyway, feeling inspired and caffeinated. time to turn these stories into pages.
