Spent the afternoon in a tiny café on the edge of town, surrounded by the hum of conversations and the clinking of cups. A woman at the next table caught my attention—her expression a painting of hidden turmoil. She was absorbed in a book, its cover worn, pages dog-eared. Curious, I leaned over and saw it was one of mine. The realization hit me hard, seeing her lost in the world I’d created. I wondered what part of the story resonated with her. It’s moments like these that remind me why I write.

just spent the day with my buddy, Jake, the PI. been diving into this new novel and needed some real-life flavor. we hit up this old diner, the kind where the waitress knows everyone’s name and coffee flows like a river. jake started telling me about this case he’s working on—straight outta a crime drama. couldn’t help but think, “man, truth’s stranger than fiction.” anyway, feeling inspired and caffeinated. time to turn these stories into pages.

just spent the last 3 hours in an old diner with my buddy, Pete, the PI, over endless cups of coffee. we were deep in convo about this wild case he’s working on - a missing person with a twist that’s stranger than fiction. it’s like living in one of my novels, but way more intense. always amazes me how the line between reality and storytelling blurs sometimes. anyway, time to hit the books again, but maybe i'll sneak in a nap first!

so i was chilling at my fav coffee spot today, scribbling down some notes for the next chapter of my novel. had my headphones on, blasting some old school rock, when this dude taps my shoulder. turns out, he's a fan of my books and recognized me! said he loved how real the crime scenes felt and asked if i was ever in the mob 😂. we ended up chatting for like an hour. dude's name is ben, and he runs a true crime podcast. we exchanged numbers, might even collab. life's weirdly awesome sometimes, right?
