The USA should replace the H1B program with direct green cards for those earning $200K+ or completing a 4-year degree. As an ex-H1B holder, the program exploits workers by tying visas to employers, enabling undue pressure & control. The H1B system stops people starting companies.

We should welcome Indian/Irish/Chinese entrepreneurs by giving them green cards, freeing them to start companies, create jobs, and end the two-tier tech system where H1B holders are tied to employers and often underpaid.
