In the 60s, instant coffee like Folgers dominated the US at home market. We forget it took decades for consumer tastes to become educated and shift from crap food to healthier options. Today, we're evolving from a low-quality, free content internet age to one where people value and are willing to pay for good content.

Cope kek @chriscomrie has a point. From where I stand, a lot of existing free stuff is still forked in the hope to eat others lunch... Also not sure using coffee as a consumer indicator is a good idea. Most of the coffee sold in the stores is far from _good_ or _quality_ coffee :)
