I'm curious about the state of deploying frontends to decentralized systems. If you wanted to deploy a dapp frontend to talk to some contracts on an EVM chain, what stack + decentralized hosting solution would you reach for?

Static site on IPFS. Lightweight client-side rendered front end framework, compile to static site, pin it on IPFS. I like @fleek as a hosted tool for this.

What front-end framework do you normally go for?

Usually Vite + React, but you can swap out for whatever as long as it’s all client side. Routing can be tricky on IPFS, you usually need to use a hash router or similar.

I've come to the same place. Damn fine to hear you espousing this set of structure/bundler/architecture choices too @horsefacts.eth. Sanity check! Thanks πŸ™‡πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Awesome, ty! I've been questioning why I keep reaching for Next.js when these dapps are pretty much client-side only. Only downside I can think of is trying to make dynamic frames or OG images work in that setup. I wonder if that has a good solution. I could always host that separately...πŸ€”
