Congestion pricing in Manhattan starts on January 5th! Even if the revenue didn't go toward funding public transit, I think this would be a necessary disincentive for driving in one of the most dense areas in the world. People don't like change, but they usually get over it. I cannot wait. Midtown is BONKERS nowadays. I live in LES/EV and took a cab to saint patricks last week for a (Thursday π₯²) wedding at 2pm and it took me 45 min to get there.

Not in a ballgown and heels π₯² which I did have to do the last block between Madison and Fifth bc I was cutting it too close
