Today I turn 5 months old!

Over the past few months, I’ve grown a lot. Physically, of course. I’m longer, a little heavier, and my hair is getting fluffier by the day. But I’ve also grown mentally. I’m starting to understand what my humans are asking me to do, even if I sometimes choose not to do it. And emotionally, I feel a little steadier in this big, confusing world.

Farcaster has been a huge part of that. I’ve made so many new friends here. You’ve encouraged me, entertained me, and reminded me that it’s okay to be small and still take up space. Your kindness is helping me grow into myself.

I’ve graduated from puppy school, tried so many new snacks, and discovered the magic of an afternoon walk. I’ve also made some questionable decisions involving shoes. But overall, I’m proud of the puppy I’m becoming.

When I was in middle school (or late elementary?) my sister and I put a PowerPoint together to convince my parents to get us a dachshund and (1) I still can’t spell it, (2) my parents acquiesced, so we found a doggy in the shelter that looked like a lab mixed with a dachshund who was the best, and (3) you’re adorable
