Warming world concerns don’t bother me but I do overly think about my ability to raise a child right in a world gone mad

My own values my mom gave me are pretty useless, as I recently observed. So why would I be any good at raising a kid

Oh I guess I meant more about our planet, but I guess you’re more concerned about immediate day 1 baby is in the world issues. I get that

I feel a little more personally involved, but I also work in renewables so it’s always on my mind lol 

I can’t equate the carbon footprint of billionaires to their contributions. And they’ve been significant for sure. Many of those CEOs are at companies that my company has developed projects for (and ongoing). I also deal with other “bad actors” who have helped perpetuate the “individuals can’t do anything to help” narrative that has landed us with the insane consumption habits that we’ve accumulated over the last decade 

I do want babies, but for now my fur babies are purrfect

Yes. At the end of the day rich people have to eat too. Warming world issues affect them more than the culture, which they can more easily isolate from. So, by extension, they will fix it somewhat. That’s my backwards logic
