For me, thoughts and prayers are hollow, but it’s the only thing that Americans get during times of crisis, whether it’s a climate crisis or a mass shooting.  These same thoughts and prayers immediately fall out of peoples minds when it comes to voting and making policy decisions and their “kitchen table” issues become more important than these fires.
