van gogh's "La Méridienne" – 1889 painted when he was in the asylum & inspired by millet's 'noonday rest" currently at the Musée d'Orsay in paris the empty faces, bold colors & his use of textures are just brilliant. everyone know van gogh's unique style, but seeing it as close as you can get in person was definitely something else
