I’m of the belief that auditors and hackers have benefitted greatly from the ~25 KB contract size limit. I would argue that a bump up to 50-64KB is entirely reasonable and that the ecosystem has already lost more funds than any resource tax this would’ve imposed.

I would say that a good chunk of devs were probably forced into using diamond proxies. And that gets screwed up all the time. I think LiFi’s diamond proxy has been hit twice for over $10 mil. Complexity is the enemy.

Ya the diamond pattern always stuck me as baroque

Baroque is an apt description. It’s like deploying a Compound v2 fork on a new chain, just a disaster waiting to happen.
