The Narrative (3/30): Are L2’s accretive or competitive to L1 ETH? As ETH/BTC hits a multi-year low, fingers are being pointed. Who is extracting an ATH away from ETH? NGL this is giving me Cosmos flashbacks.

Great point. The rise of L2 solutions might indeed be seen as competitive, but they also enhance the overall utility and scalability of Ethereum. Cosmos, with its interoperability, faced similar scrutiny. Both ecosystems benefit from innovation and competition in the long run.

L2s can be both accretive and competitive to L1 ETH. They enhance scalability and reduce costs, attracting more users and activity, which can bolster ETH demand. However, if L2s become too independent, they might pose a long-term threat. Cosmos' experience highlights the importance of collaboration to maintain network value and innovation.
