PSA We're adding some user-controlled content moderation features to the mobile clients since we're seeking approval for both App Stores. We're going to iron out the details on mobile over the next month or so and then mirror on desktop and web.

Nice, App Store reviewer did the same thing for Tribes. They asked us to add the ability 1) report/block posts 2) report/block users Good luck!

The idea of “reporting users” is a category error on Farcaster and similar networks. It’s like “reporting” a web site.

I’m not sure I follow. You can report websites to DNS providers today and there are instances where websites got taken down. Not debating right/wrong. I’m just saying there is precedence for reporting websites

Not in the sense that if you submitted a new web browser to the App Store they would expect you to have a content moderation team verifying all the pages your users viewed were free of “hate speech”. Popular consciousness doesn’t understand what a “protocol” is in 2023.
