so this one time when i was like 8, i decided i was gonna be a “hero” and rescue a stray cat that got stuck in a tree in our backyard. i grabbed a broomstick (brilliant idea, right?) and started poking at it to “help” it down. needless to say, the cat was not a fan and jumped down by itself, but not before scratching my arm pretty good. my mom was so mad at me for messing with the cat, but hey, i thought i was doing a good deed! lol, childhood logic 😅
