Now you will understand it the most why it’s dangerous. Namibia is vast but very underpopulated. There used to be always great risk that if you get stuck or break nobody will be around for a week or longer. And that is the danger

Last time I was there csmping it was big news in Namibia that one German family of 4 broke on the side of the road. Nobody found them for 6 days I think and they had no water! So they all dies. Terrible tragedy and sadly not uncommon among visiting tourists.
