Coffeecasters — sometimes I get the jonesing for a cup instead of my usual bang energy. What do you recommend as the ultimate coffee/espresso maker (that doesn’t also require a PhD in coffeeology)?

I have the Bambino Plus from the overview in the next cast, and it has been perfection. It makes an extremely competent cup, is quite simple to use, and has a blessedly compact footprint on the counter. I roast own beans and only do pour overs and espresso, so I'm pretty picky. Bambino gets it done imho

And I should add that investing in a good grinder should be before an espresso machine. It will make any brew method you use the best by providing an even grind, making sure that your coffee is neither over or under extracted due to different ground sizes
