This is not to downplay composability, interop and self-custody: they are ESSENTIAL. But driving meaningful usage comes through making them palatable for people who are looking for intuitive products/experiences that unlock new/better functionality for them.

yea, I just mean that for email you get your email address and can take that to any client. It doesn't subscribe to the "app as identity" thesis. While you might have an @ gmail email, it doesn't mean you have to restart if you wanted to try out notion mail as a client. The problem with embedded wallets and "app as identity" in something like the email example is it means you _would_ be stuck in gmail with a gmail address.
